Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

The best way to track your order is by using the Bill of Lading "BOL" number. The manufacturer creates the BOL once an order has shipped. They do not provide the trucking company with the reference number or order number for each order, so it is not a valid method for tracking the shipment. For your convenience, we also offer shipment tracking using the customer Purchase Order (PO) number, but for the most accurate tracking information, we recommend using the BOL number.

The manufacturer creates the BOL once the order has left their facility. You can call the manufacturer or visit their website and provide them with the reference number and they will be able to give you the BOL number to use for shipment tracking.

When you track your order and the order status says "In transit" this means the order has been picked up from the mill and is in transit to our Stevensville, Maryland terminal. The order status will change from "in transit" to "out for delivery" the day the order is dispatched to deliver to the consignee.

This occurs when multiple orders are placed using the same PO number or if the manufacturer partially ships an order instead of completely shipping it. The tracking system will show every shipment with the PO number you are tracing. We recommend calling the manufacturer to get the BOL number to use for tracing. The BOL number is the best way to track orders that have multiple shipments using the same PO number.

The BOL number is created the moment the order leaves the manufacturer's facility. The driver who picks up the order then has to bring the paperwork into the terminal for us to process. This can take up to 12 hours from the time the order ships, to the time it is able to be traced in our system.
Don't panic if you receive a shipping notification from the manufacturer but are unable to trace it in our system using the BOL. The order entry process takes place throughout the day and is constantly updated. We encourage you to check the website regularly for updates.
Please note: Orders shipping from California can take up to 5 days to show in our system. Order shipping from Interface or Milliken Mills can take up to 48 hours to trace in our system from the time of shipment.

Email Notification Subscription

Communication is a core value at CCL. That is why we offer multiple ways for you to receive real-time updates on the status of your orders.

When you sign up to receive a notification when an order is picked up, we will send you an email with an attachment of the mill's BOL. This way, you know when an order was shipped and all of the shipment details. If you sign up to receive a notification when an order is out for delivery, we will send you an email the morning an order is scheduled to arrive.

Just another way to stay informed when working with CCL.
